I recently looked at the statistic of Googlubuntu.com (specialized search engine on ubuntu), which I created in jest to its new release. And how I was surprised, when I noticed, that it will still be visited and used! I added anymore sites:

launchpad.net, edubuntu.org, ubuntuguide.org, kubuntu.com, ubuntuforums.org, ubuntu.com, google groups kubuntu and ubuntulinuxWe will be bigger :-)...

Where can I buy a notebook with Linux?! 13 answers from the firms-manufacturers...

I am planing to buy a notebook. With Linux OS. It is known, that Dell delivers the notebooks with Ubuntu in the USA, I thought, what about the other manufacturers? I have sent the request to the 13 leading firms in Germany - Acer, Asus, Benq, Dell also, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP, Lenovo, LG, Maxdata, MSI, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba:
whether a notebook with installed Linux or minimum with FreeDOS could be acquired. And if they are only to buy with windows, whether I could to get money for it back because I don't intend to activate it and to donate to Microsoft. And whether in that case the guarantee on hardware does not get lost. I have written to Dell, when in Germany the notebooks with Linux or without OS at all could be bought.

Both in Windows, and in Linux, the files are normally free available, that gives to each "accidental passerby" (or also not especially accidental) the free access to each information.
If you would like to keep something a secret from the stranger - this article is for you. Especially it has to do with notebook-owner (everybody heard of notebook thefts).
I have busied myself with the encoding thing, looked what the people write, and found only a few clever articles, and almost none for Linux, than I had to reinvent the wheel myself. Maybe it also will be usefully for somebody.
I didn't encrypt all partitions but only the user dates. It is just as certain as the all partitions with all packages and the libraries would be encoded!
